All natural without nicotine or any chemicals. No side-effects reported. The Bye to Nico Quit Smoking Patch Harmful Habit of Smoking: The DangerTobacco contains more than 4000 chemicals and the harm smoking does is common knowledge. Smoking, both first hand and second hand, hurts nearly every organ of the body, causing many diseases and reducing the health of smokers in general. Cigarette smoking accounts for an estimated 438,000 deaths, or nearly 1 of every 5 deaths, each year in the United States, more deaths are caused each year by tobacco use than by all deaths from HIV, illegal drug use, alcohol use, motor vehicle injuries, suicides, and murders combined! Cancer is the second leading cause of death and was among the first diseases causually linked to smoking. Smoking causes about 90% of lung cancer deaths in women and almost 80% of lung cancer deaths in men. It causes cancers of the bladder, oral cavity, pharynx, larynx, esophagus, cervix, kidney, lung, pancreas, and stomach, and causes acute myeloid leukemia.Smoking causes coronary heart disease, the leading cause of death in the United States. Cigarette smokers are 2?4 times more likely to develop coronary heart disease than nonsmokers. It approximately doubles a person’s risk for stroke causing reduced circulation by narrowing the blood vessels (arteries). It causes abdominal aortic aneurysm, and is associated with a tenfold increase in the risk of dying from chronic obstructive lung disease. About 90% of all deaths from chronic obstructive lung diseases are attributable to cigarette smoking. Cigarette smoking has many adverse reproductive and early childhood effects, including an increased risk for infertility, preterm delivery, stillbirth, low birth weight, and sudden infant death syndrome. Postmenopausal women who smoke have lower bone density than women who never smoked. Women who smoke have an increased risk for hip fracture than never smokers. So, for yourself, your family, your friends and everyone around you, stop smoking today! Difficulty of Quitting: The Dilemma It is not that people do not know that smoking is bad. As a matter of fact, many smokers have tried to kick the habits and failed including those who are actually very serious about it. The difficulty of giving up smoking is real and proverbial. The addiction to nicotine, or any other drug, is both physiological and psychological, and few really succeeded and even fewer did it ?cold turkey? without costly programs and devices. How true was Mark Twain when he said that to cease smoking was the easiest thing he had ever done; and he ought to know it because he had done it a thousand times! The Bye Nico! Quit Smoking Patch: The SolutionNow, all this is about to change with this wonderful Quit Smok

Don’t Quit

$11.18

Don’t Quit is certainly a fitting title for album number three from the Buddyrevelles — it arrives a full seven years after their sophomore effort, 2000′s American Matador, and would have been a fitting mantra for the trio as they bided their time, waiting for the fates to align in their favor again. And it’s a good thing the Buddyrevelles didn’t give up: Don’t Quit hardly sounds like the work of a band that’s been on hold, boasting ten sharp, intelligently crafted songs that strike a balance between indie rock tension and pure pop release. Aaron Grant’s guitar work fills the tunes with wiry single note lines and thick but precise chords that hold down melody and rhythm at once, taking the melodies down unexpected paths without making his performances sound cluttered or aimless, while bassist Scott Hoch and drummer Dan Reinholdt support the songs with sharp rhythms and just the right amount of color. The production, by John Peacock and the group, is admirably clear and straightforward, allowing the Buddyrevelles to sound like a band, and the album’s no-frills approach is reflected in its running time — just short of 32 minutes, without a wasted gesture or poorly considered moment to be found. The Buddyrevelles had plenty of time to think about Don’t Quit, and it shows not in a blur of ideas, but in a sharp, deliberate focus that reveals a gifted band to its best advantage, though hopefully they won’t be forced to wait quite so long to make their fourth disc. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi Performers: Nate Bakkum – Strings; Aaron Grant – Guitar, Vocals, Keyboards; Dan Reinholdt – Percussion, Drums; Scott Hoch – Keyboards, Vocals, Bass

How I Quit Smoking

$17.84

Lambchop hails from Nashville and claims to play a “refined, and redefined” style of country music, but the songs the band creates on its second album, How I Quit Smoking, have more in common with Brit crooners the Tindersticks than Chet Atkins and Billy Sherrill (whom the Lambchop members claim as heroes). Boasting 13 players on this album, Lambchop feels more like an art collective on a mission of enlightenment than a country band bent on AM airplay. Still, with subtlely threads of clarinet, sax, organ, and even a full string section integrated into the mix alongside a double-necked lap steel and an impressive lineup of vintage guitars, the music is so lush, lovely, and thoroughly hypnotic you can see their point. The country element lies buried in the subtle rhythms and melodies, surfacing in the quiet moan of the lap steel or the melancholic flutter of the strings. Spooky as often as it is soothing, Lambchop’s music may not be the fireside countrypolitan of Atkins or Sherrill — I don’t think either would put up with the babbling rhymes of “Smuckers,” the sinister guitars that mark “The Militant,” or the existential undercurrents of “The Scary Caroler.” But this is music that will lull you to sleep like a cup of Sleepytime tea as much as it will give you dreams to remember. ~ Kurt Wolff, Rovi
