How to quit smoking

*** Do not leave! Click here ***

I left smoking a couple of times before but always ended up falling of the wagon after a few months. A 1 does not hurt, but as always, would end up returning to full time smoking. That was a smoker and always smoked after coffee, after dinner with a pint etc.

The original reason for my last period was the reason selfish. I work in a bar and the smoking ban came into force in July 2007, I would not be able to smoke in the bar without losing sight of customers who want use. I was on my own most of the time and could not get a cigarette just because there would be no coverage for me. The idea of going without a cigarette for more 4 hours, filled me with terror. When I look back, I'm disgusted with myself that was my trigger point of wanting to stop smoking again. The secondary reasons have been my health, money, and being a bad role model for my son. Nic is the devil in me. It makes a very selfish person. If deprived me of my nicotine fix, I turned into a absolute monster. The closure scheduled to begin July 1, 2007.

I analyzed my mistakes in my past to quit smoking and was determined not to miss this moment. The key this license was "not a single puff! If ever I am tempted (usually when drunk), I told myself. I even wrote a note to carry on my portfolio at the time of temptation. The note reminded me why I left and I would be stupid if I had a cigarette. It also reminded me that could not be a smoker social and, finally, I would go back to smoking full time, if I had a blast. And in big capital letters I would say "not a single puff. Smoked until the last June 30th minute, but had a bad chest time.

I joined the nhs stop smoking clinic which is basically reporting to a counselor every two weeks to check levels of carbon monoxide in the blood and I do patches on prescription. Patch worked for me before I thought to use them again. My problems started normally after 10 weeks was over. Despite the patches treated with the desire for nicotine, I concentrated on breaking the habit.

quitting smoking is going well! I followed my rule and even managed a couple of nights of fun in it. Smoking ban has helped in the way that he could sit in a bar and not fall tempted to smoke all around me. We had a surprise in August with news that my wife and I were going to have another baby. I suppose that my sperm were totally inactive, while I smoked my past to quit smoking is responsible for my first child. I think it was something more than mere coincidence.

Something has changed my left in October. My Father a heavy smoker for most of his life has been diagnosed with lung cancer and terminal liver cancer in August (due to smoking and alcohol abuse). Just when we thought he would live for at least a few months, there was a way, while in the hospital and died in October, 62. When I heard the news that was dead was about my mom, all I wanted was a cigarette. Mother would not let me. I'm glad he did not.

The loss of my father at the age of 28 years to a smoking related illness made me rethink my quit. I really do it for my son and now my unborn child. I do not want to lose their father as I did want to see them grow and become men.

Eventually, I changed my mind about smoking. Having lost my father, I read Allen Carr "The easy way to quit smoking. "I do not know if this helped me with my initial stop, but it certainly changed my opinion about my addiction.

One year later my departure I started counting the months not so much. I used this forum and before another forum. the support of other ex-smokers is so precious and I made some friends. I do not put here as these days I'm not a great user forum anyway, but I like to pop into her head to say hello from time to time.

I arrive in less than 2 years in a month and, of course, so, this forum and all my old friends hop in my head.

I put a stone in weight I still find it difficult to pass, but I do not snore, almost I have never had to use my inhaler more and more important, I'm not killing myself.
